EV Car Buyers is a trading name of VENUS & MARS CORPORATION PTY. LTD. The same company trades as The Car Buyers, which has been buying cars from private sellers for years, and which is where the group's reputation was built.
It is a family business. There are twenty years in the Australian car trade behind the valuation you are given, and the people reading your car are the people who own the business.
The rating you will see quoted on this site is 4.9/5 from 500+ sellers across The Car Buyers group. It is worded that way on purpose. It is the group's number, earned over years and mostly on petrol cars, and it is not this brand's own score, so it is never presented as one.
Why a separate name
Because these cars are asked different questions
The group has always bought cars of every kind. Electric, plug in hybrid, hybrid and mild hybrid cars ended up with a name of their own because the conversation is not the same one.
A seller with a petrol car is asked about the odometer and the service book. A seller with an electric or hybrid car gets asked what the battery actually reads, what happens to the novated lease, and whether the cable and the wall charger in the garage are worth anything. Three questions the rest of the trade would rather guess at than answer.
So we answer them. The state of health is measured rather than discounted on a guess. The finance or novated lease payout is settled directly with your financier, including where you owe more than the car is worth, and the shortfall is put in writing before anything is signed. The charging gear is valued instead of ignored.
