What we collect, and what we do with it
We ask for the details we need to value your car and call you back. Nothing else.
What the form collects
The form asks for the car, which is the rego, the year, the make, the model, the kilometres and the overall condition, and then for your name, your mobile, your email and your postcode. The rego is optional. Everything else is there so a buyer can put a real price range in front of you.
Why we collect it
We use it to value the car and to contact you about selling it. That is the whole purpose. Your details go to EV Car Buyers, which is a trading name of VENUS & MARS CORPORATION PTY. LTD., and they sit in our own records so the person who calls you can see what you told us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details while we are working on your car and afterwards as a record of what was quoted and agreed. If you sell the car to us, the transaction records are kept for as long as Australian law requires us to keep them.
Having it removed
If you want the details you sent us removed, or you want to see what we hold, send an enquiry through the form on the home page and say so, or reply to any message we send you. We will sort it out with you.
Cookies and tracking
The site keeps a short lived session so that if you arrive from an advertisement we know which one, and so the form remembers what you typed if something goes wrong. It is not used to build a profile of you.
