Where we buy

We buy across the country. These pages are the places that raise their own questions.

We buy electric, plug in hybrid, hybrid and mild hybrid cars right across the country, and most of what we do is in Victoria.

The pages below exist because there was something particular to say about selling a car in those places. They are not a list of where we work.

Where the questions change

Every one of them carries the same form and the same offer. What changes is what we ask about the car.

Selling in Melbourne
For a car that has never had anywhere of its own to plug in.
Selling in Dandenong
For the cars that have been working for a living, hybrids and mild hybrids included.
Selling in Frankston
When the tow bar and the rack are part of the sale.
Selling in Werribee
When the wall box is wired into a house that might be sold too.
Selling in Mornington Peninsula
For the car that sits for weeks at a house you are not at.
Selling in Geelong
When most of that odometer was made on one repeated run.
Selling in Ballarat
For an owner watching the range fall away every winter.
Selling in Bendigo
For a seller who needs the reading, the signing and the payout to be the same afternoon.

Everywhere else

A town with no page here is not a town we do not buy in

Nothing about the call, the inspection or the paperwork changes because of where the car is parked.

We buy Australia wide, weighted to Victoria. That second half is worth saying plainly rather than implying it with a list, because a list of places on a website usually means the opposite of what it says. These pages are writing. They are not a service area, and there is no line on a map anywhere in this business that a seller can fall outside of.

What a page gets you is a set of questions somebody has already thought about. If you are in a town without one, the difference is that we ask you those questions on the phone instead of you reading them first. The person calling you back is the same person, the reading taken on the battery is the same reading, and the offer is built the same way. If it helps, read the page nearest to how you actually use the car rather than the one nearest to where you live.

Distance changes the shape of the appointment before it changes anything else. An inspector coming a long way comes once, so the visit gets arranged properly and everything that has to happen happens on the day. That is a scheduling matter, and it is ours to solve. The offer itself is built on the car, the reading taken on the battery, what is coming with it and what is owed on it. If anything about getting to you bears on that, you hear it on the first call rather than working it out from a number afterwards.

Still wondering

Two this page exists to answer

Do you buy cars outside the places listed here?

Yes. We buy Australia wide and most of what we do is in Victoria. A place gets a page here when there is something particular to say about selling a car there, which is a decision about writing rather than a decision about where we work. If your town is not on the list, nothing about the call, the inspection or the paperwork is different.

Does where I live change the offer?

Where you are decides how we get to you and when, so tell us early if the car lives somewhere other than your address, or if it is off the road and not being driven anywhere. The offer itself is built on the car. The battery reading, what is coming with it, and what is owed on it.

Tell us about the car and we will tell you what it is worth.
